Make the attic, crawlspace, basement, rooms, and mechanical equipment accessible.

Complete the assessment
Your assessor documents the home’s structure and major energy systems. Appointments are scheduled for 90 minutes.

Receive your report
We send your invoice after the visit. Once paid, we provide your Home Energy Score report and Green Building Registry link.
Bend Home Energy Score FAQs
Is a Home Energy Score required before listing a Bend home?
Qualifying homes inside Bend city limits need a Home Energy Score before they are publicly listed for sale. Some home and sale types are exempt. Review the City of Bend Home Energy Score program for current requirements.
How much does a Bend Home Energy Score cost?
The 2026 price is $235 for homes up to 1,500 square feet, $250 for homes from 1,501 to 2,500 square feet, and $280 for homes from 2,501 to 3,000 square feet. Contact us for a custom quote if the home is larger than 3,000 square feet.
How long does the appointment and report process take?
Appointments are scheduled for 90 minutes. After the visit, we send your invoice; once it is paid, we provide the report and Green Building Registry link. If you have a firm listing deadline, contact us before booking so we can confirm the current report schedule.
When do I pay?
No payment is collected when you book. We send the invoice after the assessment.
Where can I find an existing Home Energy Score?
Search for the property through the Green Building Registry.
Is a Home Energy Score the same as an energy audit?
No. This service produces an official DOE Home Energy Score report. A home energy audit is a different service, so the terms should not be treated as interchangeable.
